The 5th Vans Bowl Contest started around 2pm. Twenty seven bowl riders joined the comp, fuelled by announcer Yari Copt. Allan Maag (photographer) shot the best action and Yohan Hamonic filmed it for a recap of the event. Local staff took good care of the riders and the public during the whole day, under the sun. The Vans waffle stand made was firing and putting smiles on the faces of everyone who attended.
After the qualifications, only 9 finalists were in the running for the 2000€.
The judges had to make difficult decisions due to the amazing level of all the finalists, who offered a great show to all the spectators.
Fabio Martin won the Best Trick contest, with a huge transfer. The young Ivan Federico won with awesome lines, speed and technical tricks; followed by the Spanish rider, Alain Gokoetxea, who was master on the extension, but slowed down due to some cramps during the finals. In 3rd place, Lukas Halter, surprised himself with his runs!
