Good afternoon. Jeju Island was hit hard by Typhoon Soulik this morning, rain and winds will die down as the day goes on while the typhoon continues to move in a northeasterly direction....now heading toward Jeollanam-do Province.
The typhoon will reach the southwestern city of Gwangju by around 9 PM tonight.
Seoul will be the feeling the strongest power by around 7AM on Friday morning,.. during the morning commute hours.... so take care driving.
As of right now,... typhoon alerts are in place for Jeju and Korea's southern regions but they will expand to the central regions in the afternoon. Brace yourself for powerful wind and intense showers.
The Jeolla-do regions could see 400 millimeters of rain. Seoul will soon see showers as well. Up to 100 millimeters of rain is in store for the capital area through Friday evening.
Temperatures will go down a few notches with highs ranging from 28 to 32 degrees Celsius.
