A man was injured after falling into a hole in a museum.
Artist Anish Kapoor once described his 8-foot-deep installation piece "Descent Into Limbo" as, "a space full of darkness, not a hole in the ground," but there's one individual who may disagree. Gizmodo reports that a man visiting Portugal's Serralves Museum, where it's currently displayed, mistook the black space for a two-dimensional rendering of a void and fell into it. He is said to be recovering well from the injuries he sustained. The museum says that all safety and security protocols were observed at the time and noted that, though there are already a number of warning signs, it plans to install more. According to artnet News, the area was closed following the incident. As of Friday, the exhibit was anticipated to reopen in a matter of days.
