Nearly 3-hundred-50 people have died after massive floods hit the Indian state of Kerala.
The flooding is said to be the worst in nearly a century.
Dozens of helicopters and hundreds of boats have been deployed to extract the thousands of people left stranded.
They are also providing food and water supplies to those in isolated areas.
The flooding came after about two weeks of torrential rain,... which is common during the monsoon season.
But India's weather authorities say.... Kerala was hit with substantially more rainfall than normal.
There has been a lull in rainfall since Sunday.... and is likley to ease over the next few days,... giving officials a window of opportunity to speed up rescue operations.
Thousands of relief camps have been set up to provide temporary housing to hundreds of thousands of displaced residents.
