Most milk teas, or nai chas, from New York to San Francisco to Boston, are brewed to mimic the Hong Kong-style milk tea, which is known for being very dark, silky, and aromatic. So we went to one of the most well-known Hong Kong milk tea master classes to learn about how this iconic beverage is made—it’s actually a recipe that brings a lot of different Asian culinary fusions into one cup.
