US Embassy's Charge d'Affaires John Hoover called on Chairman PTI Imran Khan in Islamabad alongwith his diplomatic delegation
During the meeting, matters pertaining to bilateral relations and mutual interest were discussed.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan reiterated Pakistan desires durable peace in Afghanistan. He said he has always supported a political solution to Afghan issue and it is positive to have reuquest for dialogue raised from the US. He said peace in Afghanistan is in the greater interest of Pakistan, US and the entire region. Imran Khan said ups and downs in Pak-US relations are due to lack of mutual trust. He said Pakistan gives great importance to trade and economic relations with US.
