Police fired rubber bullets at a protest in KaNyamazane on Wednesday, August 15, reported local media.
The protests began in response to the delay in repairing storm damaged housing in the KaNyamazane, Tekwane and Ntokozweni areas. Residents said that the government failed to deliver the correct information and that they are frustrated at the pace at which they have been given assistance since hailstones destroyed their homes in May.
