President Trump lashed out at Omarosa Manigault Newman on Monday.
President Trump on Monday launched a scathing Twitter attack against former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman.
"Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok. People in the White House hated her. She was vicious, but not smart," Trump wrote on Twitter.
"I would rarely see her but heard really bad things," Trump continued. "Nasty to people & would constantly miss meetings & work. When Gen. Kelly came on board he told me she was a loser & nothing but problems. I told him to try working it out, if possible, because she only said GREAT things about me - until she got fired!"
Trump's tweets came after Omarosa released secret audio recordings of conversations about her White House departure with President Trump and chief of staff John Kelly.
She's also made a number of unflattering claims about Trump in her book, "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House," scheduled to be released on August 14.
The Guardian obtained a copy of the book, in which Omarosa writes that Trump has used the "N-word" on multiple occasions.
"The future US president was caught on mic uttering the taboo racial slur 'multiple times' during the making of his reality TV show The Apprentice and there is a tape to prove it, according to Manigault Newman, citing three unnamed sources," the publication notes.
The former 'Apprentice' contestant worked for the Trump administration as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.
The White House has blasted Omarosa's book with press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders saying, in part, "...this book is riddled with lies and false accusations….It's sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks."
