According to Refinery 29, there are thousands of people in California that have been evacuated and currently face uncertainty due to the wildfires that have been taking over the state. According to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, there are over 620,000 acres of land have been scorched by fast-moving wildfires this calendar year. Emergency crews continue to work to contain and extinguish the blazes while assessing the damage that has taken place.
