Smoke was seen over Dobroyd Head during an ongoing hazard reduction burn near Sydney’s northern beaches on August 10.
This video, captured by Alexander Crawford as he travelled from Circular Quay to Manly on a ferry, shows a helicopter hovering above the blaze.
According to Sydney Morning Herald, a spokesman for Fire and Rescue NSW said the burns started and finished on Thursday, and Friday would be spent ensuring the burnt areas were extinguished.
He said “the whole thing went to plan” despite alarming some tourists. Credit: Alexander Crawford via Storyful
