The United States says.... it trusts South Korea to implement sanctions against North Korea.
The U.S. State Department told Yonhap News on Wednesday,... that it considers the South Korean government a reliable partner in the maritime implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions.
Seoul faces allegations of letting shipments of North Korean coal into the country...., which would be a violation of UN Security Council resolutions that prohibit importing North Korean coal or mineral resources.
The State Department said,... Washington and Seoul are closely cooperating,... and that it's aware that the South has opened an investigation into the claims.
