Former first lady Michelle Obama on Monday announced a voter registration initiative that will take place prior to the midterm elections in November. Obama is urging people across the nation to participate in the 'When We All Vote' week of action, which will take place from September 22 to September 29. "We want you to help us by hosting events in your communities to get folks registered," she notes. "We want you to help us get folks inspired and get them trained on how to keep spreading the word." Obama also talks about the hardships many endured to give "every American from every background and walk of life the right to vote," and says, "We want to honor their legacy and continue their work to ensure that every eligible American cast their vote — work that is far from finished."
