S. Korea posts current account surplus of US$ 7.38 bil. in June: BOK

And in trade, South Korea remained strongly in the black for June, though less so compared to May.
The current account surplus came to 7-point-4 billion U.S. dollars.
That's down more than a billion from the month before but up about 400 million dollars from a year earlier.
The surplus in goods was also down on month, but it rose on year to 10 billion dollars thanks to demand for semiconductors.
Korea continues to run a deficit in services, and that widened from May.
The services deficit came to 2-point-4-5 billion dollars.
For the first half of this year, in total,... the current account surplus comes to 29-point-6 billion -- down nearly 17 percent from the first half last year... and the lowest figure in six years.
