Satellite footage showing Saharan dust crossing the Atlantic Ocean on August 1 was released by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Satellites.

The footage was captured by the GOES-East satellite. NOAA Satellites also reported that winds were pushing “significant amounts of dust” towards Spain and Portugal, which were already experiencing heatwaves. Credit: NOAA Satellites via Storyful
