Police helped chase an acrobatic tree-climbing bear from the University of Alaska Anchorage campus.
In a clip posted to the department’s Facebook page on August 1, a black bear can be seen climbing a tree near the Fine Arts Building of the Anchorage campus before police officers turn on their sirens to chase it back to the woods.
Speaking to local media, Anchorage Police Department spokesperson Kendra Doshier said that since the campus is located close to wooded areas, “wildlife are bound to show up from time to time.”
