A new rule has come into force starting today... banning the use of disposable plastic cups for use inside restaurants and cafes.
The regulation says stores can only give customers plastic cups when they want to get their drink to go.
If a customer is given a disposable cup without having been asked, the store will be fined not more than about 18-hundred U.S. dollars, depending on its size.
It'll be enforced by random inspections done by local governments.
It will be considered a violation also if a store doesn't have enough multiple-use cups for its size.
