An infant chimp at Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Freetown, Sierra Leone, recently found his voice as footage shared to the sanctuary’s Facebook page on July 30 shows.
Baby Flavour can be seen making a number of different vocalizations in the adorable video. “Chimps have a huge range of vocalizations and it’s important they learn these in order to integrate with their own species,” the sanctuary wrote alongside the footage.
Flavour was confiscated from hunters who were keeping him as a pet after killing his mother and family, the sanctuary said.
The video had over 1,800 views at the time of writing. Credit: Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary via Storyful
