Thomas is a canal enthusiast and dedicated volunteer with the Scottish Waterways Trust. While out volunteering at the Forth and Clyde canal, he captured the unusual sight of a family of swans leaping over lock gates.
The brave swans took the jump as a short cut to avoid getting out of the canal and walking the long way around the gates. All of the cygnets jumped successfully and the family continued on its way. Credit: Thomas Lawton via Storyful
