Voters went to the polls in Pakistan to elect representatives to the national parliament and four provincial legislatures on July 25, Radio Free Europe reported.
The election pits Imran Khan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) party of jailed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. PML-N is now led by Sharif’s brother, Shehbaz Sharif.
The voting continued after a suicide bomb attack near a polling station killed at least 31 people in Quetta on Wednesday.
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, Reuters reported. Credit: Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty via Storyful
