The funny incident took place in Kainakary, Kerala, India, on July 18.
The members of the Kumarakom boating club decided that they could save some time by practicing on the flooded road instead of walking up to a local river some distance away.
“The roads were deserted. There was also their loud drumbeats and music to warn people to keep away,” said a local resident Sunil Menon.
The club members were practicing for the Nehru trophy race to be held next month at Alleppy. The celebrated club has won the prestigious trophy several times in the past.
