Everyone is talking about the weather these days. It's another steamy day and our weather caster Lee Jee-hyun is at Yongma Waterfall Park in eastern Seoul, braving the heat to give us a rundown on the perfect place to stay cool.
Jee-hyun, how are you braving the heat?
Good afternoon, Jiyoon. Yes, it is scorching hot but I can tell you that it feels so relaxing here with the sound of the waterfall and dragonflies.
Yongma Waterfall Park seems to be a popular place to visit. The waterfall is one of the highest artificial waterfalls in Asia at 51m high,... and just looking at it can help you feel cool.
Today is Daeseo on the lunar calendar, meaning big heat... but we've already seen severe heat for nearly ten days and heatwave warnings are in place everywhere except for some parts of Jeju.
There's another scorching day ahead, and we'll see temperatures soaring to the mid-thirties this afternoon. Seoul saw a high of 38 degrees Celsius on Sunday, 39.3 degrees in the capital's Seocho-gu District... even at night you can feel that steamy heat pretty much wherever you are.
Highs in Seoul, Chuncheon and Daejeon will be at 35 degrees, a couple notches lower than yesterday, we'll see 37 degrees in Daegu and Gyeongju.
The heat shows no sign of easing up, with highs in the mid 30s.
UV rays will continue to be high despite more clouds,... and ozone levels will be high as well. Take good care of your health.
