Civic groups from the two Koreas are to join forces to bring back from Japan... the remains of Koreans forced to work under Japan's colonial rule in early 1900s.
South Korean members of Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation met with their North Korean members in Pyongyang last week... and signed an agreement to this end.
It's believed there are remains of nearly two-thousand Koreans in Japan.
The delegation that visited Pyongyang told reporters on Sunday that the North Korean members were very proactive in keeping and implementing the inter-Korean Panmunjom Declaration.
They also hoped they could have conservative South Korean lawmakers participate in expanding inter-Korean civilian exchanges.
But, according to the South Korean delegation,... the North Koreans also said Seoul should be more proactive in expanding cooperation with Pyongyang despite international sanctions.
