An electrical fire broke out on the monorail train at the California State Fair in Sacramento on July 21. The Sacramento Fire Department said the fire was contained to one car and that the operator, who was helped off, was the only person on board.
This video shows the burning monorail stalled on an overhead track and sending sparks down onto the roof of a food stand below. An employee is seen trying to climb over the counter to get to safety, before a man is seen taking a ladder and fire extinguisher over to the stand.
