A black bear raided a bird feeder and scared a cat while outside a home in Burnett County, Wisconsin, on June 29.
In the video, a bear looks inside the window of a home while the filmer can be heard saying, “Oh my goodness.”
The bear runs off only to return shortly to raid a bird feeder while giving a cat inside the home a big scare.
"Look at those claws," the filmer says in the video.
“I was working at my computer in my living room recliner when I noticed a black bear standing at my window, trying to dump the contents of our hummingbird feeder into his mouth,” the filmer said.
“He then stuck around in our yard trying to find any other tasty morsels from our other bird feeders,” the filmer continued. “I started to video him and he came right up to our door, which I promptly locked!”
“He then went back towards the hummingbird feeder and that's when our cat jumped up in the window for a glimpse,” the filmer said. “When the bear stood up again, our cat hissed and swatted at him. Then he smartly ran away.”
“This was such an exciting, somewhat scary and rare occurrence,” the filmer said. “To catch a bear midday so close up and personal — I’m so glad I caught it on video!”
