கபினி அணையில் இருந்து தமிழகத்திற்கு திறக்கப்படும் நீரின் அளவு 50 ஆயிரம் கன அடியாக அதிகரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இதனால் மேட்டூர் அணை விரைவாக நிரம்பும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது.
