President Trump Meets
Queen Elizabeth II Trump met with Queen along with first lady Melania at Windsor Castle Friday evening. It was a regal conclusion to the official portion of the US President's visit to the U.K. The Trumps entered the castle's Quadrangle by Range Rover after arriving on the castle grounds by helicopter. Each of the Trumps shook the Queen's hand as she stood on the dais awaiting their arrival. The band of the Coldstream Guards played the U.S. National Anthem as the President and the first lady stood with their hands on their hearts. The Queen, 92, stood solemnly with her hands clasped and head bowed. The trio entered the Sovereign's Entrance of Windsor Castle for tea precisely 10 minutes after their arrival. With the exception of Lyndon B. Johnson, Queen Elizabeth II has met every U.S. president since 1952.
