Uber's Chief of Human Resources Abruptly Resigns Liane Hornsey, Uber's chief human resources officer, has abruptly
stepped down. In an email to employees, Hornsey did not give a reason for her departure but said she's been thinking about leaving
for awhile. The departure comes amid CEO Dara Khosrowshahi's efforts to change Uber's culture to prevent repeated misbehavior. Khosrowshahi recently praised Hornsey for releasing the company's first diversity report and ushering in equal pay for all employees. Hornsey was hired by Uber in January 2017 from Japanese technology
conglomerate SoftBank. She also had spent nearly a decade leading Google's human resources department.
