San Diego Brush Fire More Than Doubles in Size Over a Few Hours

The so-called West Fire in San Diego, California, grew to 350 acres and destroyed several structures on July 6 after originally being reported at 150 acres.

Evacuations were ordered after the fire began to spread along Interstate 8, according to NBC Bay Area.

Cal Fire reported that the fire was zero-percent contained and was growing at a “critical rate of speed.”
