At least two homes at Darwin River were destroyed in a blaze, which started on Monday, July 2.

Waterbombing aircraft were deployed to control the fire, as seen in this video captured on Monday afternoon by a local resident.

Containment lines were established, but authorities expected “dangerous conditions” to continue on Tuesday. A total fire ban across Darwinm Batchelor and Adelaide River had been enforced as winds continued to fan the fire, ABC reported. Credit: Allison Dakin via Storyful
