Georgia Police Rescue Toddler Lost in Woods

Police cadets in Port Wentworth, Georgia, rescued a twp-year-old girl who had been missing in a wooded area for more than 15 hours on June 27.

Police said the toddler was reported missing from the Port Wentworth area on Tuesday evening and rescue crews had been searching for her in a wooded area where temperatures had risen over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Video footage shows police rushing towards the girl and rescuing her just after 4.30 pm on Wednesday. She suffered some cuts and was thirsty but was in otherwise uninjured, police said. Credit: Savannah Police Department via Storyful
