Whale watchers were treated to an amazing show of whale breaching near Flinders Bay, Western Australia, on June 24, during the animals’ annual migration to the north, ABC reported.
“We stayed with this pod for over an hour and sighted just over 60 breaches during that time,” Augusta-based tour company Whale Watch Western Australia, who captured the sighting on camera, told Storyful.
“The slightly smaller individual was a female Humpback who was breaching to attract the attention of the males (being the breeding season) and the males were responding with full barrel roll breaching to deter the competition and impress the female!” Credit: Whale Watch Western Australia via Storyful
