The Saddleworth Moor fire in Greater Manchester continued to burn in the early hours of June 27, with overnight evacuations being ordered as the flames drew close to residential property. According to local media, residents from at least 30 homes had to flee as authorities reported the fire edging as close as 200 metres from their homes. Fire services said that the dry and extremely hot conditions in the night were fueling the spread of the fire. The video, filmed at around 1:30 am, shows the fire burning in the distance as plumes of smoke rise into the sky.
