Ride-sharing app Uber has been granted a 15-month probationary license to operate in London after a court overturned a ban imposed last year.
Transport for London refused to renew Uber's operating license last September, citing it was not doing enough to safeguard the public, such as conducting thorough background checks on drivers.
After a two-day hearing on Tuesday, Uber's lawyers convinced the Westminster Magistrates' Court that the firm had addressed the TfL's concerns and cleaned up its act.
