Shelf Cloud Leads Stormy Weather in Lexington, Kentucky

Severe storms swept across Kentucky on Tuesday, June 26, triggering severe thunderstorm and flash flood warnings from the National Weather Service. Homes were evacuated in Lincoln County out of concern for flooding, according to a local report.

Up to five inches of rain fell in Moreland in a short period of time on Tuesday, and emergency responders have been fighting against flooding since Monday, the report said.
