A group of hikers got to see a one-night-only event in Saguaro National Park in Arizona on Sunday, June 24. The night blooming cereus made its annual appearance in the park and in other gardens in desert areas.
The cereus, also called the Queen of the Night, only blooms once per year and otherwise looks like a dead bush the rest of the year. The plant is part of the cactus family, which the park is known for. Credit: National Park Service via Storyful
