Gangneung had their first tropical night of the season on Saturday which came 7 days earlier than last year. A 'tropical night' refers to when the temperature is at or above 25 degrees Celsius between 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. the next day. Other regions are also waking up to warm night at 21 degrees in Seoul, Daegu and Gwangju.
Hot temperatures are in store under mostly sunny skies at 33 degrees in Seoul, Daejeon and Chunchoen while Daegu and Gyeongju will get up to 35 degrees.
Thankfully some relief is on the way. Monsoon rain will bring cooler conditions so that we can breathe little better from Tuesday but you will definitely need to keep an umbrella handy.
