President Moon Jae-in held a twenty-minute-long phone conversation with his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump.
According to a statement released by the nation's top office, President Trump called from Air Force One, en route to Washington.
President Moon first highly evaluated the Singapore Summit, that the U.S. commander in chief established a foundation for peace, not only for the Korean Peninsula but for the entire international community.
Trump expressed satisfaction with the summit results, saying there is now a close relationship between him and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
He insisted Kim's promise to dismantle the missile engine site reflects the North Korean leader's strong determination to make a change.
Both Presidents Moon and Trump stressed the importance of fully and quickly carrying out the agreement reached at the summit, and as such agreed to close cooperation on related efforts.
