Alex Iovine and Emma Pichl were kicked out of an Uber they hired in New York on Saturday, June 9, after sharing a kiss in the backseat, they said.

The couple was traveling from Brooklyn to Manhattan to go to a friend’s birthday party. They were told to leave on Canal Street, just after the Manhattan Bridge, according to news reports. Iovine, 26, said she sent a complaint to Uber, but the company did not respond until news outlets reported the incident. Uber apologized and refunded the $22 fare. Credit: Alex Iovine via Storyful
