This model started in fashion at a size 2. Her name is Hunter McGrady, and she says that it taught her some hard lessons. “When I first started I was not eating, I was working out for four hours a day…and I remember going into a photoshoot and walking in, and they were telling me I had to leave because I was much too big…at a size 2.” Sadly, her story is the norm for many models. “There’s no way I could have been the only person this was happening to,” says McGrady, “And this happens every single day to girls in media.” Now a size 16, the ‘Sports Illustrated’ beauty is happier than ever. But that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t work out - McGrady exercises regularly and works with a personal trainer because a healthy body image is the ultimate goal. But even for her, it’s sometimes hard to let the hate roll off her back. “I want people to know that I am also normal, I have insecurities sometimes as well, I’m not a superhuman. I don’t let that define me.” Being authentic to who you are…is always in style.
