Robbie Williams has announced he is performing at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The 44-year-old pop star will be part of the celebrations that will kick-off the start of the soccer tournament when host nation Russia play Saudi Arabia at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium on Thursday.
As well as playing his own biggest hits, Robbie will also sing a duet with Russian soprano Aida Garifullina.
Announcing his appearance, the part-time Take That star said: "I'm so happy and excited to be going back to Russia for such a unique performance. I've done a lot in my career, and opening the FIFA World Cup to 80,000 football fans in the stadium and many millions all over the world is a boyhood dream.
