A Guatemala tour guide wipes ash from the balcony of a property near the volcano that erupted yesterday (June 3), killing at least 25 people and leaving more than 100 injured.

The footage, captured by New York state-native Valerie Russell, a tour guide and Guatemala resident for nearly a year, shows the aftermath of the eruption as volcanic dust settles on the ground.

A big cloud of smoke can be also seen in the distance.

According to reports, more than 3,000 people have been evacuated and rescue efforts continue to find survivors.

Authorities said the death toll is expected to rise and warned of further mudslides.
