Wildfires have reportedly forced hundreds of residents to evacuate their homes in the states of Colorado and New Mexico. On Saturday, officials said the fires, which are about 250 miles apart, have consumed around 17,000 acres between them. A report on Friday said the larger of the wildfires, which started a day earlier, was zero percent contained after it doubled in size near Cimarron, a town just northeast of Santa Fe.
