In a significant development in the run up to 2019 general election, congress and JDS have now announced a pre poll alliance for the Lok Sabha election next year. The congress and the JDS have made a joint statement yesterday after they announced that both the parties had reached a consensus over allocation of portfolios. The question now remains is will other regional parties come on board to form a federal front to take on PM Modi in Lok Sabha election next year.
