A man who had 18 wild goldfinches caged in his home was fined after admitting breaking the Wildlife act.
Cetin Metin, 20, claimed he had bought some of the birds from a man in the pub and was given the rest as presents from his family.
When RSPCA inspectors and a police officer visited his home on July 6, they found the birds kept in nine cages in his home and garden.
