An enormous dead sperm whale has washed up on a popular beach. The species estimated to be 50ft long and cordons have been placed around it to stop the public getting too close. it has been tracked in the sea for around a month but was last seen just off the coast of France. It washed up ashore just after 8am yesterday (Thursday) and attracted a large crowd of on-lookers at the Red Rock Beach between Dawlish Warren and Dawlish in Devon. Witnesses say the smell was pungent as soon as it hit the beach.
