Schoolboy set on FIRE after lighting deodorant can in middle woods

Kyle Round, 14, had been fooling around with his friend last Tuesday (19/7), spraying the Sure aerosol and lighting the canister with a cigarette lighter. After the aerosol had run out, the school friends decided to head home at around 5pm. Kyle dropped the canister to the floor after it became too hot to hold – but it exploded upon impact. The deodorant caught fire, engulfing Kyle in roaring flames, which spread across his body. Terrified Kyle, from Underwood in Nottingham, frantically ran around on fire, in search of some water. Luckily, he found a puddle nearby and put himself out, before taking his scorched t-shirt off and running to a local pub with his friend. Shocked customers called an ambulance, and the teenager was taken to the Queen’s Medical Hospital in Nottingham where he was treated for 12% burns to his body. His parents Wayne, 36 and Alyssa Round, 33, rushed to his side, and were greeted by the horrific sight of their son’s injuries.
