A mural by a renowned artist worth thousands of pounds has been found after 60 years - underneath the wallpaper of a PUB. Staff had called in decorators to do up the bar but were stunned when they revealed a lost work by Arthur Young. Layers of yellowing and cigarette-stained wallpaper had been pulled back to uncover a massive mural - full of flying birds. Arthur, who died in 1993, was a respected artist in the north of England and his works are now considered collectors' items.
