Three brothers separated as kids when two of them were deported to Australia in the child migrant scandal have been reunited for the first time in 43 YEARS. Kevin, Rex and Bruce Wilton were taken into care as young children in the sixties when their father died. In 1970 the three were given a stark choice - stay in the UK and work on a pig farm or consent to being shipped Down Under to begin a better life. Bruce, 14, opted to stay in the UK but Kevin, nine, and Rex, 10, were the last of thousands of youngsters sent to Australia because British authorities claimed they were too expensive to look after. The young deportees were mostly placed in workhouses and farms where they were physically, mentally and, in some cases, sexually abused.
