A fire department in Indianapolis has shared dashcam footage of close encounters its firefighters have had with road users who “are not paying attention” after a second fire engine was involved in a head-on collision in less than a month.
A clip shared to the Wayne Township Fire Department Facebook page shows a number of collisions and close encounters firefighters have had to deal with between 2013 and 2018.
The footage was posted after a fire engine was involved in a head-on crash on May 30. Four firefighters were responding to a medical call when the driver of a car traveling the opposite direction drove over the center lines and hit the engine straight on.
