Arthurs Reading Race takes children on a walk around town as Arthur challenges his sister, D.W., to a reading contest. If she can read ten words, Arthur will treat her to an ice cream cone. In addition, there are three ivities in the story enabling pre-readers to develop early reading skills and to recognize words.
